The BARC is a general interest ham radio club serving Batesville and the surrounding area. The BARC has been an ARRL affiliated club since 8-12-1991 and proudly participates in the ARES® and RACES organizations. We meet in the community room at the First Community Bank (corner of St. Louis and Harrison) on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. local time.

Full Membership in the BARC is open to all FCC licensed amateur radio operators. Associate Membership is open to those actively engaged in a class leading to an amateur radio license and all other interested persons. Full Membership includes all club privileges as well as rights to hold a club office and to vote on club business. Associate Membership includes all club privileges except for the right to hold office and vote. Applications for membership shall be submitted at regular club meetings.

Membership dues are $2.00 a month and are used to provide funds for club expenses. Membership dues are due on January 1 of each calendar year. New members shall pay a pro-rated amount to maintain the January 1 renewal date. Discounts are available for dependant family members that reside in the same house.
